I would like to change the default mouse pointer that Leap 42.2 has installed with the Gnome 3.20.2 Desktop. Maybe with Linux it’s not the Desktop which sets a mouse pointer. I want to improve the visibility of the mouse pointer (size) as my eyesight is no longer optimal. I cannot find any leads as to if/or how this can be done in Linux.
I have recently installed openSUSE Leap 42.2 x64 on my home PC after many aggravating weeks of trying, and failing, to get several Ubuntu distros to work. I am a long-time Windows OS user and am relatively new to Linux.
Can I change the default mouse pointer to a larger mouse pointer?

Hi
Either via System Settings → dconf-editor, or via the command line
with gsettings… for example;
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface cursor-size 50
To reset to the default, the number is 24.
