Whenever I want to read something from en.opensuse.org it’s either down or takes forever to load. Is this normal or is it a certain time of the day/night ?

The infrastructures of different linux distributions suffer under the heavy load from AI crawlern. You can read this as „are attacked by AI crawlern“. Luckily at openSUSE only the wiki seems affected. Other linux distributions have complete infrastructure breakdowns due to this (illegal?) crawlers which hammer down everything to get training data.
There are no easy ways to block these AI crap, without blocking a large amount of normal users. These AI crawlers also use methods to hide their identity (the IPs countless times for every access attempt, and other methodes to hide identity).
There was not long time ago an interesting article from a linux magazine which tried to explain how dificult it is to block these AI crawlers.
