I use K3b and I burn images on dvd disc it is working,but when was time to burn a image on CD disc it burn sometimes,I restart my desktop it will not recognize it.
That cd I put in my laptop it works, what can be?.
Please do nt ask to burn music on cd,because my ext.HD I have to work on it,I cant open up.

Well thanks I didn`t solved the problem but on 08May09 I will get a new advanced computer,with new toys.

My friend thank you,I really appreciate for your help and I burn Mandriva,Sabayon already on DVD it works.Just now I finished download Fedora10 and get ready to burn on DVD,later in the morning I try to burn a other linux in CD.

One thing is you should always remember who give you the best service.
But hey it is your choice and what I told you may it is only the cheap cd or it could be the DvD driver (hardware).
