Can't Set Up imap in kmail

I am trying to set up kmail and I am failing.

When I try to set up the imap password, the password field is coming up blank. When I enter it again and select OK, I get the following message.

Problem with akonadi_imap-resource_6rc IMAP account

An error occurred when retrieving the IMAP password from the system keychain: "The name is not activatable"

I don’t know how to fix this prolem.

Is KWallet enabled and running?

No. Kmail complains about not using kwallet, but indicates that tne pa@word is being saved.

I did set up kwallet and now the email works. Thanks for your help.
