Can't boot into windows vista!

Hi guys,

When i first install openSUse i boot into windows vista while being able to boot into linux. I finally realized something. Upon installing, the installation dvd tries to install software into my hp recovery partition which only has 740MB of free space while the software space it needs is 2.1GB. Could someone tell me how to instlal this software somewhere else so that it doesnt affect my hp recovery partition? everytime i try to boot into windows this system recovery message pops up. I think its because i altered this partition when installing. Thanks for your help!

OK. So it looks like you have already had a go when comparing this to your earlier post

But you still don’t have it quite right

/dev/sda1 1 8160 65537167 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda2 13869 14593 5823562+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda3 * 8161 10771 20972857+ 83 Linux
/dev/sda4 10772 13868 24876652+ f W95 Ext’d (LBA)
/dev/sda5 10772 10902 1052226 82 Linux swap / Solaris

should look something like:
**
/dev/sda1 1 8160 65537167 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda2 13869 14593 5823562+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda3 * 8161 10771 20972857+ 83 Linux ** /(root)

/dev/sda4 10772 13868 24876652+ f W95 Ext’d (LBA)
/dev/sda5 ??? ??? ???+ 83 Linux ** /home**
/dev/sda6 10772 10902 1052226 82 Linux swap / Solaris

==================================================

But what is worrying is this was your previous Vista
/dev/sda1 * 1 8160 65537167 7 HPFS/NTFS (see the *) now it’s gone??

If grub is on MBR and all is OK with vista, this should be in the menu

title windows
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader (hd0,0)+1

Do you have recovery discs?
