Hi and welcome to the Forums
You might want to tone it back a bit, these are user forums, expecting an instant reply is not how the peer to peer help works.

Feel free to head over to Ub*/Centos as the same tools are used likely fcitx and pinyin.

as with most linux distros the commonly used IMEs are either fcitx or ibus. Your choice on which one you use . . . but in my experience fcitx is better integrated in openSUSE (I’m using it for Japanese input)

If you set the language configuration to Chinese when installing, more than one IME will be installed by default including Fcitx and ibus. It should be out of the box so you don’t need to install them manually. All you need to do is to choose one of them you like. I am using fcitx, and there is an article about Fcitx in openSUSE wiki.

However, if it doesn’t work, you can refer to this article.

And after choosing you may want to remove the other IME.

yes, even if you have installed English as your primary language you can go to Yast > System > Languages and install Chinese as a secondary language. That will also pull in all the required files (fonts, ime etc) automatically

Oops, googled my username and I just found this post I made while I was still a child…

Don’t worry, my input method is fully working now
