Bluetooth issues tumbleweed

Good afternoon everybody and thank you in advance for your help.

I am very new to linux so please forgive my noobness and bear with me.

So the issue I appear to be having is related to connecting bluetooth devices. be it my headset or say to my stereo any bluetooth devices really.

I am attempting this on an HP envy DV6 notebook
I am on the most recent tumbleweed
I am using XFCE

I installed blueberry and did a restart.

I can see the devices when the blueberry applet is scanning for devices and they even report that they connect.

but then they instantly disconnect.

if i click on the device properties the slider is in the off posistion and clicking it to on just results in it instantly sliding back to off.

if i do a dmesg grep | -i bluetooth I get the following

13.061345] Bluetooth: Core ver 2.21
13.061368] Bluetooth: HCI device and connection manager initialized
13.061372] Bluetooth: HCI socket layer initialize
13.061376] Bluetooth: L2CAP socket layer initialized
13.061386] Bluetooth: SCO socket layer initialized
18.473994] Bluetooth: BNEP (Ethernet Emulation) ver 1.3
18.474000] Bluetooth: BNEP filters: protocol multicast
18.474009] Bluetooth: BNEP socket layer initialized
278.417309] Bluetooth: Failed to disable LE scan: status 0x1f
278.421270] Bluetooth: hci0 command 0x200c tx timeout.

hcitool dev gives me.

Devices:
hci0 68:17:29:3E:53:F4

Im not sure what else I can provide so I am ready for guidence. lol
any help would be appreciated.

Correction this is on a HP envy 17-j013cl Notebook not a DV6

My apologies.
