Bluetooth headset microphones not working under KDE with HSP/HFP profile

With previous distros I’ve used, but with different desktops (LXDE, LXQt), I was able to use the microphone in a Bluetooth (BT) headset if the electronics supported the HSP/HFP BT profile and the ofono package is installed along with blueman, but any audio would be monaural, not stereo. Otherwise, if the profile was not supported, it was audio-only, while using the webcam microphone.

In KDE, with ofono installed, none of the BT devices with microphones I have supporting HSP/HFP, will work. Is it possible that the BT software included with KDE could be missing something??

Thanks in advance.

The microphones in all of my Bluetooth headphones, are now working, with ofono installed and also a Bluetooth firmware package downloaded from GitHub that is for the specific Bluetooth dongle I have.

It’s a pleasant surprise, since based on my past experience, I was not expecting the mics in every BT headphone I have, to work.
