Bluetooth headphones not working with Google Chrome

Dell M4500 OpenSUSE 42.3

OpenSUSE has been working great on my laptop, recently got a pair of Bluetooth headphones and they pair without any issue, however, I cannot get youtube videos, when played within Google Chrome, to output via the headphones, it just keeps playing via the speakers.

Via YAST, pulse audio is enabled.

Any help appreciated.

I believe your problem must be sorted by now. But If not, follow these steps, they may help you.

  1. Launch Chrome.

  2. Click on the three dots (or three horizontal lines) in the upper right-hand corner of the browser.

  3. Go to the Settings page.

    1. Scroll down and click on Advanced to show the advanced options.
  4. Now, under the Privacy and security tab, click on Site settings.

  5. Scroll down to Sound and click on it.

  6. The toggle button on this page should be On and you should see Allow sites to play sound (recommended). If you see Mute sites that play sound, toggle the button next to it.

  7. Try visiting the web browser again to see if your sound is working properly.

Few months ago, when i bought new pair of URL removed Bluetooth neckband earphones from URL removed and used them while watching movie on chrome, i faced similar issues. after going though above steps, i could finally sort that issue out.
