Blinking display

latest TW, nvidia and intel gpu on an ASUS Zenbook laptop
The kcalc kde app is always blinking and other apps do it on and off too. I tried all the compositors but it made no difference. With kcalc its mainly the bit edits that constantly blink rapidly.

Please show us some basic information so that we’re not left to guess…

Switching to nvidia with suse-prime, logging out and back in, stopped the flickering. Well, at least in kcalc. Time will tell if it fixed all the rest of the blinking

Well, the blinking returned. I set prime-select back to intel and logged out, but the logout failed and hung. Then i powered off and rebooted to runlevel 1 but the boot also hung. Next i plugged in a usb dvd player which caused the boot continued to the maintenance prompt for some reason i cant fathom. I set primt-select nvidia and rebooted and now i can get back to the desktop but the blinking remains. I am seriously thinking of a full reinstall.
