Blank Screen After Installing On Core i3 (VGA Intel HD 4500)

Hi. I installed 11.2 on a Lenovo G460
CPU: Core i3
Graphic: Intel HD 4500
And I got a black screen. Installation media (DVD) is healthy. Please help.

KMS (Kernel Mode Setting) is a recent development, and requires that you have at least kernel 2.6.31 and Intel Xorg driver version 2.8. But newer is better. With the 2.6.32 kernel and Intel Xorg driver 2.9 you can expect full functionality including external displays and 3D acceleration.
openSUSE-11.2 has the Intel 2.9.0 driver and a 2.6.31 kernel. So you should have partial support.

openSUSE-11.3 due out in mid-July should have better support.

or

sax2 -r -m 0=fbdev

note that is "zero equals … "
