Bind fails to load after update from 15.3 to 15.4

I updated 2 servers to 15.4. Both were running vanilla BIND services for our internal network (no SAMBA). Neither server will now load. The errors are nebulous and unhelpful. Systemd reports 6*/NOT CONFIGURED. When I use YaST to try and start the service it says error saving configuration but gives no details as to what is wrong with said configuration. Before I whack it and start over any ideas?

If anyone else runs into this my solution was:

  1. Backup zone files
  2. In YaST, delete bind (leave bind-utils)
  3. Install bind.
  4. In YaST all my settings were saved except the zone file.
  5. Named zone same as prior.
  6. Check that forwarders are correct.
  7. Check /var/lib/named/master to ensure zone files are intact, if not copy in from backup.
  8. Run tests.
