Hello.
I have a Creative Audigy SB sound card with 5.1 speakers. The bass is working when i boot my PC, when i play 1 song on banshee or youtube its still there but when i change the song the subwoofer stops playing. I need to reselect “Analog 5.1 surround output” in preferences to get it back, but after another song i have the same problem.
Is there any way to fix it? Or at least make a hotkey or shotcut to turn it on again easily?
Does the command ‘amixer’ show the setting that you adjust ? If so, then in KDE it is not difficult to create a one line command to adjust the parameter and then save that as an icon on your desktop. You can learn how to do that by typing ‘man amixer’, or simply post for help if the syntax ‘gets you down’.
You could also, if using openSUSE-12.1, look at the application ‘pulseaudio-equalizer’ which is packaged by Packman packagers for openSUSE: PackMan :: Informationen zum Paket pulseaudio-equalizer
