Apologies if I have stepped on anyone’s toes by starting the April thread for my first ever post here (Hi all!)
I recently switched to OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and quite like it
This is my current desktop
Running slightly modified Gnome Shell default theme (fonts changed/resized)
Elementary Mono dark icons
Borderlinegtk3 gtk3 theme
Background? Can’t remember where I got it…sorry.
Sort of goofing around with 12.1 and KDE. I have not yet up-dated to the latest KDE version. As I long time user of GNOME I sort of prefer KDE. Although it is all a matter of personal taste. Here is my desktop, which as always, is subject to change.
After a bit of stuffing around with dependencies, here’s my new opensuse 12.1 system sporting gnome 2.32 with kwin (kwin not visible in this pic). I’m still configuring it, so some things are still not quite right like the Debian logo in the top right, (it came with the theme). http://i42.tinypic.com/im585c.png
Updates my setup a little. Same GTK and window theme, new wallpaper, conky now running, and improved font rendering from Subpixel repo.
…and yes, I visit the Ubuntu forums too (as seen on screengrab) , has useful info about Linix in general as well as Ubuntu specific
I’m using Crossover, an unsupported build based on the current 11.2 version, with modifications to let ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic’ run.
I’m an advocate for a few apps and games for Crossover.
The standard Wine should run Steam however, I never had issues in the past
