After updating from Leap 42.3 to Tumbleweed, any applications run inside PlayOnLinux have all the text missing. This does not seem to happen on my other computer, which has been running Tumbleweed for longer. This computer (with missing text) has Nvidia graphics with the proprietary driver, while the other computer has Intel graphics.
I get the following message when running an application:
Wine cannot find the FreeType font library. To enable Wine to use TrueType fonts please install a version of FreeType greater than or equal to 2.0.5. http://www.freetype.org
Though I have FreeType 2.7.1 installed.
Actually, it’s only seems to happen in 64-bit wine prefixes. It does not happen in system Wine though.
Removing PlayOnLinux/wine/linux-amd64/<wine-version>/lib/libz.so* seems to fix it. Though the fonts look really bad.
