Has anyone else installed an Epson WF-7510 Printer?
I’m using OpenSuse 12.3 64 bit, and am using the 64 bit rpm driver I downloaded from Epson - namely epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.4.0-1lsb3.2.x86_64.rpm.
It gives me a very limited amount of paper sizes and doesn’t even show me 11X17, although the Windows driver shows tons of paper size selections.
Advice on getting other paper sizes to be recognized?
It doesn’t make a difference whether I look in the Yast drivers or via CUPS
The paper size choices offered will be down to the PPD definition located in /etc/cups/ppd/ directory, and it might be possible to edit it to include other paper formats.
I’ve managed to find an answer to my own problem, and thought I should share it with all of you.
The Gutenprint drivers that come with 12.3 and 13.1 are only version 5.2.9.
There is a later Gutenprint driver, 5.2.10 available, and installing that fixed my problem as common North American sizes were now available. I got it from Sourceforge, I think.
Thanks, Deano, but this didn’t help me. Installing the latest Gutenprint drivers (5.2.10) did, however.
So I see. However, it is likely that it contained a suitably updated PPD.
