AMD ROCm repo is empty since this morning

I installed the ROCm drivers from Factory using this guide from the official wiki:

https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:AMD_GPGPU#GPGPU_on_openSUSE_Tumbleweed

But since this morning the repo was emptied (no packages there), and my previously installed packages are flagged as orphaned.

This is the repo’s URI:

https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/science:/GPU:/ROCm/openSUSE_Factory/

Does anyone know the reason why these packages were removed? Or if this is a permanent thing?

Thanks in advance

I noticed this yesterday, and wondered too. The mailing lists say nothing about it. I hope ROCm hasn’t been permanently abandoned.

Good to know! I hope they don’t only build for gfx1100, though.

Available with community repos:

Use community repositories at your own risk. They may or may not work, and there is no guarantee of support if you do use them, beyond what the owner of said community repository may be willing to provide.

To add what @sfalken has already said… security of said repos…

The packages previously at science:GPU:ROCm were experimental and hard to keep up to date. AMD are now helping us to provide proper packages for ROCm that will replace the old ones.

If you really need the old packages I’ve made a backup at:
