amarok won't play MP3

hi everyone.

i recently came to leap because of stability. i have an issue with amarok and clementine, which they don’t play MP3s.

i have kde-codecs.ymp installed but still the problem exists. i also don’t have xine engine and don’t know how to install it if the problem relates to it.
also vlc and smplayer can play MP3s. amarok is more important to me than clementine.

this is amarok diag:

Run

sudo zypper dup --from 3 --allow-vendor-change

Then again, for playing mp3 on Leap 15.1 one should not need Packman at all. For video, yes, but not mp3. The repolist looks OK, except that you can remove the misc repo for packman, since you have the entire packman repo for Leap 15.1 already enabled. You could also see if installing lame changes things.

i removed the misc repo. and ran

sudo zypper dup --from 3 --allow-vendor-change

but nothing has upgraded or changed. i also have lame installed.

I’ve changed my player from Amarok to Strawberry. I wasn’t sure that Amarok was seeing much development. Strawberry is similar and is in the repos.

doing this solved the problem. https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/536314-Multimedia-Guide-for-openSUSE-Leap-15-1 thank to you repliers and @sauerland

Please set the Repos your are using to refresh…

Otherwise you will get no Updates automatically…

as i told you before in another post, i’m living in iran and enabling autorefresh mades me wait for zypper repo refresh everytime i try to install a software, i face timeout error.
so i should manually refresh repos with torsocks. living in such country has such problems.
