Aliens vs Predator 2, wine, game server firewall

What I have tried is to set up a game server. ( for this game)

I have done this in the past a few times, both on my own pc as on a real gameserver.

My problem, and my question doing this on my pc:

I could not find my server in the game. In the past I was always on windows, and remember I had to open a port (27888) on the firewall to make it work.

I suspect I will have to do the same on openSUSE ?
Or do I need to do this in wine too ?

When you have a firewall running, maybe yes.

Just switch the firewall off for a test and see if it helps. When yes, switch it on again and open that port to see if it is the correct one.
