with these KDE repositries
https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:KDE_repositories#KDE_Frameworks_5.2C_Plasma_5_and_Applications
I upgraded my 15.5 to 15.6, the network wifi and cable works but disappeared the network and the bluetooth icons in the systemtray and in the configure systemtray they aren’t, and also if I try to add the network and bluetooth widget on the panel or desktop it doesn’t works.
other widgets works
how can I have my network and bluetooth icon in sistemtray?
This reads like your install is not in a properly consistent state. Can you please show us the currently configured repo list?

Such messed up repo lists are always fascinating. Devel and home repos…
But did you already try basics like adding a fresh task bar?
yes, in the plain 15.6 always works, this should be the argon version but doesn’t works, and I would like to try the argon version
Ok, everything else is ok right? You’re trying to add the ‘Networks’ widget like this?
What happens when you try to add to the desktop? Error?
What does kinfo
report?
yes, everything else is ok, network works but bluetooth cannot check becouse I cannot pair nothing
if I try to add network and status control ( the one on the left)
to the desktop nothing happen, no errors, no widget is added
here is kinfo
pla@plaTW:~> kinfo

Hmmm…I’m not able to replicate this, (I’m also using Leap 15.5 with the Plasma 6.1.4). If you create another user and login to a Plasma session as that user, does adding the ‘Networks’ widget work as expected?
Also, since upgrading Plasma did you log out and back in?
if I add a user and login to plasma x11 as that user adding network widget doesn’t works and no network icons in the systemtray
if I go to KDE systemsettings I found network and bluetooth section and everything works but the icons in systemtray and adding widgets
yes I rebooted after upgrade
I tried to go back to plain 15.6,
disabled the argon and the home repos and ran
zypper --releasever=15.6 dup --download-in-heaps --auto-agree-with-licenses --allow-vendor-change
rebooted
everything went fine and the network and bluetooth icons was present in the system tray, I also found on the desktop the network widget I added when argon version was running (and it didn’t work)
I redid the upgrade to argon reenabling the argon repos (leaving disabled the home repos) and ran
zypper --releasever=15.6 dup --download-in-heaps --auto-agree-with-licenses --allow-vendor-change
I didn’t redid
zypper -v install pattern:kde_plasma
as the instructions says becouse one of the last things done done after the previous command was
install pattern:kde_plasma
but the behaviour is the same, no network and bluetooth icons in the systemtray and no network and bluetooth widget is added
if it can be useful, I’m user chromium to answer to this post, chromium in the argon version is very slow to appear after launched respect to the plain 15.6 version
and also brave and the open with file association are changed, the images opening are set to “brave” an non set to “gwenview”
Ok, so I assume that ‘plasma6-nm’ is installed then.
What happens if you try to launch the utility from a terminal?
plasmawindowed org.kde.plasma.networkmanagement
Any errors?
I also wondered if something in ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc might be causing an issue here. You could rename that to ‘plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc.old’, log out and back in and seen if you can add the widget as required again as a test. (Easy enough to revert back after that if necessary).
yes it is installed

tried to add the network widget but nothing happen as before

but the behaviour seems the same
The plasma6-nm package which provides the Networks plasma applet is present, so it should show. You are using NetworkManager right?
zypper status network
You might want to consider posting your issue at https://discuss.kde.org/
Mwwh, here a similar problem but for XFCE.
Could be a KDE or NM bug but could well be triggered by uncommon locale settings, what does echo $LANG
give for your system?
yes I’m using networkmanager, the command you suggested doesn’t works
pla@plaTW:~> zypper status network
Unknown command 'status'
....
pla@plaTW:~> su -
Password:
plaTW:~ # zypper status network
Unknown command 'status'
...
plaTW:~ # exit
logout
pla@plaTW:~> zypper --status network
The flag --status is not known.
pla@plaTW:~> zypper -status network
Unknown command 'network'
...
pla@plaTW:~> zypper -status -network
The flag e is not known.
but using yast>network settings I get this:
and
so yes
here is
pla@plaTW:~> echo $LANG
en_US.UTF-8
pla@plaTW:~>
I supposed reading the post on XFCE you was mean this
pla@plaTW:~> systemctl status NetworkManager
● NetworkManager.service - Network Manager

Okay, Network Manager runs.
Can you try to add the KDE Network widget?
Right click on the notification panel in the lower bottom of the screen, select Add Widgets and search for Networks
