After upgrade I no longer get boot messages

After distribution upgrade from Leap 42.1 to Leap 42.2 I no longer get the boot splash, nor the boot messages racing across my monitor.
Right after Grub I get a login prompt. A few moments after that KDE is starting and I am in graphic mode.
My /var/log/boot.log is empty.

Yes, it is. I want’em back.
I am used to expect a problem when I am thrown into console prompt right after Grub and sit there and wait not knowing KDE is loading or not. Should I log in, should I not , was I thinking. Then a few seconds later X and KDE was loading up

Think I found the reason. The kernel boot parameters had the option quite. Guess removing this would solve my problem.
