Aeon is missing the webp-pixbuf-loader package

Webp images cannot be used as wallpaper in GNOME because the webp-pixbuf-loader package is not part of the base system. Nautilus also cannot show thumbnails because of this.

Shouldn’t webp-pixbuf-loader not be a part of the base system?

What hinders you to install it?

openSUSE Aeon provides only a minimal base system with a GNOME Desktop Environment and Basic Configuration Tools ONLY.

If you believe this package is absolutely necessary to use Aeon, open a bugreport with a request to include this package in the base system.

I filed the ‘bug’.
Thank you.

It’s a good idea to post the bug number here.
