Adding software in YaST

In older versions of YaST software management it would prompt you to add
more packages after you installed something. That behavior went away in
11.0 IIRC, but there was discussion about making it a toggled option. I
recently went from 10.3 to 11.2 and miss that feature. How can I enable
it in 11.2?

Thanks…

Hi
Yes you can re enable. YaST -> System -> /etc/sysconfig Editor and go
to System - YaSt2 - GUI and at the end of the list there is the
variable “PKMGR_ACTION_AT_EXIT” You can set either summary, close or
restart. You would want restart or summary.

Thanks Malcolm, that for me is THE killer feature of 11.2!

Very cool! :good:

I always found it to be very annoying that the package manager closed itself without asking me first.

Great info. Thanks so much.
