ACPID missing in action

I’ve been having problem with the suspend/resume. Going through the systemctl list-all, I noticed that acpid is not installed.

  • Is it safe to install it?
  • Why wasn’t it installed from the the DVD ISO? It’s enabled in the BIOS as S3

Thanks

Is it safe to install it?

Yes

Why wasn’t it installed from the the DVD ISO?

It’s not installed by default (although you can still use it for customised handling of certain events if desired). AFAIU, systemd/udev is responsible for ACPI management now.
