This is an ASUS Laptop (X550C) and on a clean install of Leap 15 I see the following messages on boot although it all works OK and boots up and runs fine. I’d still like to explain them and fix them if possible.
Jun 15 10:01:33 ASUS-Laptop kernel: ACPI Error: Needed type [Reference], found [Integer] ffff880186b2c0d8 (20170303/exresop-103)
Jun 15 10:01:33 ASUS-Laptop kernel: ACPI Exception: AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE, While resolving operands for [Store] (20170303/dswexec-461)
Jun 15 10:01:33 ASUS-Laptop kernel: ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_PR.CPU0._PDC] (Node ffff880187d8ab68), AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE (20170303/psparse-543)
Anyone any suggestions please?
Stuart
Try to see if acpi and acpid are installed
No neither were installed. Now both are and ACPID enabled and activated but still see the errors on boot up.

Hi
Is the BIOS firmware all up to date? You could try raising a kernel bug, but might be more a vendor issue…

FWIW, I have an ASUS K55A here and see the same…
