Hi, I have the laptop of the subject, after installing openSUSE 11.3
x86_64 my system freeze randomly, nothing respond, only shutdown and
power on, so, is there any bug with it?, the x3100 graphic card?, or
anyone have any idea of how to trace the problem?

My experience is unexpected freeze are typically due to either:
(1) hardware problem on motherboard, or
(2) bad graphic driver (or bad xorg environment in which graphic driver functions)
(3) fault ethernet hardware or driver
(4) faulty memory
(5) kernel bug (which is incompatible with one’s hardware)
There may be other causes, but those are the ones that come to my mind now.

T_T now I don’t have time to spend with it, maybe at weekend I go
back to 11.2 :frowning:

Solved,

as say in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615649

I added the X11 repository and update Mesa, libdrm and
xorg-x11-driver-video-intel-legacy, then I edit
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-device.conf to

Section "Device"
Identifier "Default Device"
Driver "intellegacy"
EndSection
