Limewire is for filesharing p2p. It is a windows application. Frostwire is a Linux equiv.
You could consider, dare I mention windows SkyDrive, if you have Hotmail account, I think you can store 25GB of files there to share. Probably less complicated. Or use ftp://
Limewire is a java based application, wich makes it available to any OS you like that can run the java enviroment.
Download the Other Systems (OS/2, Solaris, Linux) package from this site:
Lime Wire » Download LimeWire
Unzip the package and do the following that is written in the README file:
If you are using this from the LimeWireOther.zip file, you can launch
LimeWire by typing:
sh ./runLime.sh
Open a terminal, change to the Limewire directory an type in the sh ./runLime.sh line
Worked fine on my system
greetings Kump
Unzip is it the same when we do in winxp?
I usually make a new folder->rename->cut & past unzip in that name folder is it the same in linux?
Cheers

SkyDrive is a good solution, but if you must use Limewire just download Frostwire from the Packman Repository.
Frostwire=Limewire
…With two fundamental differences
This is possible because Limewire is opensource, so anyone can make their own flavour of it.
Since we started… the limewire topic. It is well known that viruses can be easily transfered though limewire, since it’s p2p, when you use Windows. Is it possible … for anything … to reach you under SuSE?Most of them are executable files, attached, but there are some .sys viruses that aim at the hardware… Are they going to have effect on SuSE? Thanks. This is really just a … “chit-chat” question.
Cheers.
Although I only use Linux now, I have used p2p in both OS without ever an issue. Practice the obvious safe browsing and downloading and you will be fine. Otherwise you can only be classed an Idiot.:X

I don’t know which desktop enviroment you are using, but I think every filebrowser (Dolphin, Nautilus & Konqueror) should have an extract here option or similiar in the right click context menu. Yes, it’s the same way like in WinXP but you don’t have to create a new folder, because the Limewire zip file itself contains a folder at the top of it’s hierarchy.
Also you don’t have to use the terminal, simply klick (or double click, depends on the desktop and your settings you are using) on the runLime.sh file.
If you want to learn a bit about the cli, do the following.
For example you have saved the LimeWireOther.zip file in the directory
/home/Suse-Beginner/downloads
Now open a terminal and do the following:
cd downloads
unzip LimeWireOther.zip
cd LimeWire
sh runLime.sh
This way also gives you additional information about the things you are doning and can be useful if the installation does not work.
Well, if you do such things in a virtual machine your personal data should be safe at least. And it’s not a big issue to reinstall a system the virtual way.
I use Frostwire and I just installed it with zypper
