4k byte sector support in 11.4?

Has anybody tried 11.4 pre-releases with the new HDs that have 4kB sectors? Does the partitioning tool automatically align partitions to 4kB boundaries? 4kB drives are getting more common now and new OSes ought to handle them correctly. A twist is that they may come from the factory aligned for 512B sectors and so the partitioner will need to rewrite the table. Also won’t be possible if the drive is already shared with other OSes. But for fresh drives, there is no reason why they shouldn’t be set up optimally.

There is some info on the mailing lists;

AFAIK, it’s still a manual process.
