I recently made an install usb and upgraded to 42.2 lol!
I got my usual update message and proceeded to update and keep getting the following error.
patch:openSUSE-2016-1365-1.noarch conflicts with libavdevice57.x86_64 < 3.2-4.1 provided by libavdevice57-3.1.20161022.2a5c41e-2.1.x86_64
is there a way to force the update or somehow get past this so I can install the security updates? A google search yielded no results.
Thanks in advance:)
That’s probably related to the Packman repo being active.
Here’s what I did on my server:
- Change the repo URL’s by replacing 42.1 by 42.2
- run
zypper ref && zypper dup
- reboot.
This was a little over a week ago, the machine is running stable ever since.
I checked and the repo’s were all 42.2.
what ended up working was doing a manual ‘sudo zypper dist-upgrade’ now everything is fine.
thanks
I am not sure if it is related but as we already use Packman I also prefer that repo to have a higher priority.
