would anyone have any info if that would work? I have 6x2tb hdd. also can one card handle more then 1 array? as getting couple ssd more and wondering if can put 2 array on 1 card. prolly cant. just asking Suse 12.1
My current 3ware raid5 card makes loads to go upto 12+ and unbarable.
You will be able to have multiple arrays on the 9750-8I. You can have up to 32 volumes/units. So you will only need one controller.
You have to think about space with a RAID 6 you can lose 2 drives but you also lose 2 drives to parity. Although a RAID 6 is more redundant the rebuilds will take longer if you lose two drives and your performance will slow due to the rebuild.
