15.4->15.5 upgrade, now hibernate does not work

I have just upgraded my Leap 15.4 to 15.5 on a Fujitsu Lifebook A series.

Now, the hibernate does not work. I shuts down fine. On power-up, I see it loading the saved image and it gets to restoring the desktop session. That is, the windows etc are all displayed.

Then, it freezes. No cursor movement or anything. In fact, the mouse is not even powered ( I use an external usb mouse).

This was all working fine with 15.4, what have I done wrong?

TIA.

You did not explain how you upgraded (there are several ways to do this), thus how can we advice?

Boot from the install medium and chose “Upgrade”.

BIOS fully updated?
Swap big enough?

Given 15.5 will be EOL before this month is out, it might be better to upgrade to 15.6 now. It may work without needing help.

Do you have any optional repos enabled?

BIOS unchanged from (fully operational) 14.4. Real Memory = Swap Partition size = 16 GB.

Hmmm. Didn’t know that. Maybe try 15.6 then.

No special repos. Usual “Restricted Formats” stuff.
