Printer Samsung CLP-310

Hello.
Just forget it.
I had a problem with ARK which does not fully extract the samsung package ???
Doing extraction on command line solve the problem.
“sh ./autorun” from /tmp/cdroot run perfectly.

Sorry for false problem.

No bother, thank you for sharing the solution of your problem. Will help surely others in the same situation.

The story is not finished.
Printer is installed and able to print.
Smart Panel is installed and operational.
But :
PSU (Printer Setting Utility) is installed :

lx:/tmp/001/PSU/cdroot/Linux/psu # sh ./install.sh
/opt/Samsung/PSU/share/en
INFO: psu (ver.2.01.03) has been installed successfully in /opt/Samsung/PSU
INFO: phonebook (ver.2.01.03) has been installed successfully in /opt/Samsung/PhoneBook
INFO: emailbook (ver.2.01.03) has been installed successfully in /opt/Samsung/EmailBook
INFO: addressbook (ver.2.01.03) has been installed successfully in /opt/Samsung/AddressBook
lx:/tmp/001/PSU/cdroot/Linux/psu #

But PSU is unusable :

lx:/opt/Samsung/PSU/bin # ./psu
17:36:04.672> Usage: Printer Settings Utility <devPath> <devName>
lx:/opt/Samsung/PSU/bin #

Any idea
(I use the CLP-325W as a wired networked printer )

Well, what was your syntax. Reads like a syntax error.

Printer Settings Utility <devPath> <devName>

Tells you that the syntax is the command followed by the device path followed by the device name.
So you have to call the PSU for the device with its path and device name.

as a wired network printer

how is it connected. Ethernet or USB? Do you try to reach it directly from the machine on which is it branched?

Hello.

The printer is connected to local network using Ethernet port.

I am wondering if it is not the driver itself which call PSU providing <devPath> <devName> ?
How can I get these informations from command line ( <devPath> <devName> ) ?

The printer is functional. I can print from linux or windows XP from my laptop.
With Windows XP, PSU is installed seamlessly.

I just want to see what PSU is doing under linux. As you can see in my post, I had no problem to install PSU from install shell script.

I cannot give you a source in English. The software you are looking at is proprietary. But this link](http://marcosbox.blogspot.com/2011/09/installare-i-driver-per-la-samsung-scx.html) gives you an idea about the complete install sequence of the Samsung PSU software. The text itself is in Italian, (se lo parli, bene, se no è lo stesso), so maybe you will have only the pictures and the code as guidance line. Hope that helps.
Greets.
