I am a central Texas rural person. Hobbies include amateur astronomy, reading, music and many out of doors activities like fishing, hunting and the like. I have been in IT and tech related all my career and computer experience includes working with IBM systems all the way back to the old S/34 machines on up to AS/400 and now with Z/Systems. PC systems go back to CPM, MS-DOS, Mac and beyond. I did learn Slackware back in the mid 1990s and about 8 years ago decided that it would be a plus to get back into Linux and have been going from there with a number of distros including RedHat based, Debian based and Arch based and about a year ago using OpenSuse.
