As you may have deduced from my nom de plume, I am a fan of J. Michael Straczynski’s work. In any event, welcome to my openSUSE Forums profile page!
I have been a technology enthusiast since the 80s, and was exposed early on to a wide variety of platforms (Apple II, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST, Tandy TRS-80, Tandy Color Computer, etc.) but personally I was always a Macintosh guy. I’ve owned, used, worked on, and built x86 PCs running MS-DOS and Windows, and have done 80s/90s system admin work along with working in the print world doing desktop publishing.
A high school buddy of mine who I’ve kept in contact with introduced me to Linux, and I’ve dabbled with that as well on straight x86 boxen as well as Apple hardware, both older and current. I switched to being a full-time desktop user of Linux in 2015, and have been running Linux Mint as my daily driver ever since.
Why am I here on openSUSE’s forums? Well, I prize new experiences and want to delve into other areas, two of which being networking and programming. As of this writing, I am a complete n00b to programming and am going to start learning Rust.
In my spare time I also like to write, and am working on some science fiction fanfic.
