I go pretty far back in computers but haven’t kept up. My first computer had 8" floppy disks and ran CP/M. I installed the first computers and networks for a number of small to medium businesses in the 1970’s later and wrote a lot of custom software into the early 2000’s with internet-based and smartcard applications. But I’ve been retired for a couple of decades and was always more of an applications than systems person. I’ve been using Suse and OpenSuse since the late 1990’s and almost exclusively for 20 years. Even got my wife using it. It’s been stable, reliable and does everything we need it do.
