Zypper dup to particular release

Is it possible to use zypper dup to upgrade to a particular, i.e. non-current release. I did upgrade my production machine to os-release 20240817, which contains annoying graphical glichtes in the Plasma Panel/Taskmanager. I had upgraded another machine to 20240801 which does not contain the bugs.

Would it have been possible to dup to 20240801 even if 20240817 is already available? Could I dup back to 20240801?

BTW I cannot roll back this upgrade, as the previous version is from several months ago.

Thanks.

If you have snapshots, just boot the one from 20240801 and rollback to it if it’s working for you.

As I mentioned, I don’t.

My question is also more directed at the future, as I would like to only upgrade once I have checked on another box. One solution would be to always upgrade once a version is checked, so I can roll back. I would rather like to avoid that, having infrequent upgrades on the production machine.
