Zypper dup kills SAMBA write

Hy, did zypper dup on several TW KDE this morning and since then I get in Dolphin:

Access denied.
Could not write to smb://10.4.5.129/share/Computer.

from ANY TW install to ANY samba share in various networks.

From Leap 15.6 cient writing to samba shares works just fine.

Any ideas?

Access denied could not write to SMB when copying but can create new folders and files

Samba SMB file server has mysteriously started giving errors when trying to upload files to the server. (Using DKE Dolphin.) Access denied. Could not write to smb:// Strangely, I can create new folders and files in the Samba share. But I cannot upload files. Even guest full-permissions shares give the error. The setup was previously working. The server has plenty of free disk space.

Can Read but not Write to SMB NAS

I’ve tried two different ways of connecting to my NAS (via adding a remote location in dolphin and by setting up a Cifs entry in the fstab) no matter what I do, I can browse all the folders of the NAS but i cannot edit files, add files, or anything else via Dolphin or via nano as my user. Weirdly creating and saving a file via nano as Sudo does work, although it seemed a bit slow to save. I installed Samba via Yast and here’s the Fstab entry I’m using (edited for personal details): //192.168.…

This is the user forum. You are asking at the wrong place.
But usually it really fastens up the process, if somebody from the affected users opens a proper bugreport at openSUSE bugzilla with the link to the upstream commit which fixes the issue. The link to the upstream commit can be found via the links provided in the already mentioned thread. In this way, the openSUSE maintainers are notified that there is a problem which can be fixed by applying a patch. If nobody notifies the maintainers, the fix will land when the next regular kde-frameworks update is provided (November).

Sorry but I don’t have any issue like this. I access my shares via SMB4K which is available in KDE Extras repo and mount them using that and write to them using Dolphin from my TW KDE system last updated this morning .

So perhaps try SMB4K.
