But usually it really fastens up the process, if somebody from the affected users opens a proper bugreport at openSUSE bugzilla with the link to the upstream commit which fixes the issue. The link to the upstream commit can be found via the links provided in the already mentioned thread. In this way, the openSUSE maintainers are notified that there is a problem which can be fixed by applying a patch. If nobody notifies the maintainers, the fix will land when the next regular kde-frameworks update is provided (November).
Sorry but I don’t have any issue like this. I access my shares via SMB4K which is available in KDE Extras repo and mount them using that and write to them using Dolphin from my TW KDE system last updated this morning .
