zypper dup downgrade?

I have just upgraded to 15.2 but I’m having issues with the graphics card as it is not supported in 15.2, I’m thinking on downgrading again to 15.1.
It may be done as the upgrade, changing the repos and making zypper dup?

best regards

iIf you use Kmail there was a change in the database.

FOSS Modesetting DDX and FOSS Nouveau DDX support my GT218 [GeForce 210] in TW, 15.1, 15.2, and other current distros. What are your issues?

If graphics card issues are your only problem, you try to fix those first… Or, at least explore if there are known problems with your card. If there are problems and they aren’t addressed, you might see the same problems in another 6 mths or so when you’ll need to upgrade to 15.2.

Else…
Yes. You can downgrade your system by doing a zypper dup with 15.1 repos configured.
Recommend you download and burn a 15.1 DVD in case you need to do a repair using the DVD.

OpenGL does not work.
Stange pixel block appears frequently in the screen.

I too have had significant issues with nvidia graphics card after an update followed by fresh install of 15.2, I ended up using only distro supplied graphics drivers. Any attempt to install nvidia drivers hosed the system (blank black screen and no curser). Same graphics card ran fine in 15.1 OS using nvidia drivers from the nvidia repo labeled as g05 in the software manager. I tried about 10 installs of 15.2 with and without nouveau and tryng different base desktop environments and eventually found my system to run fine without nvidia repo files. I may not have best graphics installed but I don’t have blank screen without even a cursor.

I have nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti. I wonder if you have same thing.

After about 10 fresh installs, I found keeping nvidia out of the picture with 15.2 got me running. Again nvidia g05 installs ran fine under 15.1 I did notice that current nvidia g05 software has a different nvidia driver version than I remember from 15.1. I think under 15.1 nvidia driver in g05 package was nvidia 440 driver. In 15.2 driver version is different.

I will put up a thread on this issue when I get the chance.

No, I have ASUSTeK EN210 SILENT which is NVIDIA Corporation GT218 [GeForce 210], it was working fine under 15.1 with G03, but 15.2 does not have G03.

Have you tried your 15.2 without activating nvidia repo and only using the distro supplied files?

See here on how to install G03 for Leap 15.2:
