Zypper build ... problem!!!

Hello Forum,

I am using fadora 14, but some reason I need to use zypper package from open SUSE.

Any way I downloaded from the github/openSuSE/zypper.git site and trying to build on local machine but build seems to be failing to complete. I am getting following error, a file a file from zyppercommon directory missing

cmake ..
CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:11 (INCLUDE):
include could not find load file:

    ZyppCommon

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:22 (GENERATE_PACKAGING):
  Unknown CMake command "GENERATE_PACKAGING".

-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!

Any one know any solution please advise, thank you,

Look forward to hear…

Thanks

Shy

Hello shylock_1,

I can’t think of any reason why you should need zypper while using fedora.
Why do you need this exactly?

Zypper is just a command line package manager.
If you need rpm packages from openSUSE repositories you can just install them using the package manager of fedora.
You can even add openSUSE repositories to your fedora installation, although I wouldn’t recommend it.

Good luck!

I’m not familiar with that.

You could try the programming forum here, instead. And if that fails, then
you have the mail lists.
