openSUSE 10.3 is no longer supported, wait you call it “Suse 10.3” do
you mean openSUSE 10.3 or SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (or Server)
version 10, SP3?

if the latter, you need to ask over in forums.novell.com as that is
commercial software which includes long term support and help…

if you actually mean openSUSE 10.3, then:

most folks never use a Yellow dog Updater, Modified package manager so
no yum repository is needed for openSUSE…

instead most folks use Yet another Setup Tool (YaST) and online
repositories

but, the lifetime of openSUSE 10.3 has passed and it is no longer
supported with online repos

i always just put the DVD in and set it as one of the repos available
to YaST…but, could copy the DVD to a harddisk and then point YaST
to it…but, that would only provide a very limited set of
applications and then only as they were frozen in time in October 2007…

either way you will still be using software unsupported with security
updates…

suggest you get 11.2, soon…
