I’ve come to notice that YMP, by default, pulls in a lot of repos.
Every time I use one-click install, I have to manually disable a big list of repos except for the one I’m installing the package from. Is that the intent by design? And will it be changed in the future?
This is well known. This was discussed countless time in the forums. NEVER use 1-click installation. ALWAYS use expert install and only add the required repo.
It will not magically change by itself. Someone needs to step in and do it. And it is not a simple bug that can be solved trivially, it is deep in the design of Open Build Service and how it is used to publish openSUSE distribution.
NEVER use 1-click installation. ALWAYS use expert install and only add the required repo.
Perhaps one-click install shouldn’t be advertised up-front, since it is not the ideal solution? Maybe switch YMP with expert install? Just spitballing is all!
