Hello,
I am not very advanced user and this is my first post to the forum. I’ll appreciate any help. Here is my problem:
I have OpenSuse 11.0 on one of my computers and after quite large software update (download from Internet repositories around 1,2 GB as reported by YaST) I can not run Software Manager (or Software Management - I use Polish localization, and I am not sure how it is in English) from YaST2 - Software.
The Software Manager starts after mouse click, refresh the repositories info (the bars are moving) and then the following info shows:
YaST got signal 11 at YCP file /usr/share/YaST2/clients/inst_packages.ycp:36
/sbin/yast2: line 421: 9776 Naruszenie ochrony pamieci $ybindir/y2base $module “$@” “SELECTED_GUI” $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS
and YaST2 crashes.
(BTW “Naruszenie ochrony pamięci” is in Polish and means “Segmentation fault” according to Wikipedia.)
YaST (in text console) runs, but it is not as comfortable as YaST2.
I also tried changing my default KDE desktop to “Safe” and “IceWM” but the results were identical - Software Manager did not run and the same info appears.
I appreciate any help.
