I am attempting to use Yast2 GUI on my SUSE Linux x86_64 12 Patch Level 1 using Windows 7 computer display manager. Each of my physical keyboard key pads don’t map to their respective character correctly. For example, when I press “s” key on my keyboard an “a” will appear in a Yast2 textbox. When I view my /etc/sysconfig/keyboard file the following are set:
KEYTABLE=“us.map.gz”
COMPOSETABLE=“clear latin1.add”
YAST_KEYBOARD=“english-us,pc104”
I am using a US keyboard. When I do launch yast2 GUI is displayed and when I go into Hardware-System Keyboard Layout it has English (US) configured. But, when I attempt to reset it I get Error Failed to set X11 keyboard to ‘english-us’
