after i did what u said yast re-refresh,after it done and i searched for gparted and check it for installation but it didnt install anything “its from packman”
right after i click accept i asks me if i want to install something else or no!
i looked at installation summary list gparted and many apps checked to be installed

Processor (CPU): Intel(R) Core™2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz

GeForce 8500 GT
please tell me what should i do to fix this

type this in a terminal

zypper se gparted

post entire results

Personally i wouldn’t install gparted as it will conflict with openSUSE’s partitioner.Better off using a livecd of gparted

Andy

This is quite true and I feel Andy has hit the nail on the head. Personally I would use Yast’s built in partitioner or more likely a live cd like parted magic or similar. There is whole host to choose from.
