Is there a way to see what patches have been installed ?

The reason I ask is that this morning, I saw that 2 were available. I think Opensuse 2013-651 and 652.

I was excited about 652 because it had to do with Thunderbird which is causing me grief.
Within Yast, I picked the 1st to look at and accept. It had to do with samba.
Anyway when I went back to look for the 2nd, it was not there.

Did it get installed anyway, and how can I check ?

I know how to open Yast but there are no tabs that say "show me the installed patches ". That’s what I was looking for.
Is it the one under "Online Update\Extras\history ?
I see some that were installed today thae mention Thunderbird, so maybe that’s them.
I was looking for more along the lines of the package descriptions like Opensuse-2013-652

Yes. This shows everything installed / removed by yast.

You won’t see Opensuse-2013-652 because it really is not a patch it is a list of packages to update.

If you do to YAst-software Management type Thunderbird in the search it will list all packages with Thunderbird in the name, at the bottom right you will see a window with tabbed items one is version. It will show versions available and what is installed for the highlighted package.

The information is there. :slight_smile:

At least, you can compare the package versions you have installed with
the list in that email (there is an http archive where you can find all
the emails, somewhere under lists.opensuse.org, IIRC).

Or click on the chooser right next to “Show Patch Category:” in YaST->Online Updates and select “All Patches”.
You can see all patches that are available then, and which one you already have installed (those with a tick :wink: )…

Please note that all needed patches should be automatically selected to install anyway (green tick) when you enter YaST->Online Updates. When you click on “Accept” they will get installed.
Those patches with empty tickboxes you don’t need, because you haven’t installed the corresponding package(s) anyway.
