YAST on line update

I can’t find a forum for Yast so I place a question here
If I start software management yast is busy reading all kinds of
repositories.
At the end I get an error message:

There was an error in the repository initialization.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:10.3/standard/’: /var/cache/zypp/raw/http:/download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:10.3/standard: Required file is missing: ./content

Anyone knows what is going on?
Thanks Middlecope

Doesn’t seem to be a valid repository. Where did you get that URL from?

Uwe

I put the suspect URL into Firefox and it redirected here, which looks benign.
Index of /distribution/10.3/repo/oss

FWIW.

I am more a user than a programmer
In Yast you have the software Repositories
I guess it has to do with that
Mine looks like:

Main repository NOSS http://download.opensuse.org]Software.openSUSE.org
/distribution/10.3/repo/non-oss/
openSuse 1.3 on DVD
openSuse updates Index of /update/10.3

The words “standard” en “content” have been added by Yast?
Any hint to get rid of it is highly appreciated

  • Middlecope,

I’d remove the repos and add them back.

Uwe

The error warning has gone.
I have been looking to the URL’s of the repositories
and I think that solved the problem Although I did not changed anything.:frowning:
Thanks for your replies and back to bussiness

  • Middlecope,

a glitch in the Matrix then
Thanks for the feedback.
