I can’t find a forum for Yast so I place a question here
If I start software management yast is busy reading all kinds of
repositories.
At the end I get an error message:
There was an error in the repository initialization.
‘http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:10.3/standard/ ’: /var/cache/zypp/raw/http:/download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:10.3/standard: Required file is missing: ./content
Anyone knows what is going on?
Thanks Middlecope

Doesn’t seem to be a valid repository. Where did you get that URL from?

I put the suspect URL into Firefox and it redirected here, which looks benign.
Index of /distribution/10.3/repo/oss
FWIW.
I am more a user than a programmer
In Yast you have the software Repositories
I guess it has to do with that
Mine looks like:
Main repository NOSS http://download.opensuse.org ]Software.openSUSE.org
/distribution/10.3/repo/non-oss/
openSuse 1.3 on DVD
openSuse updates Index of /update/10.3
The words “standard” en “content” have been added by Yast?
Any hint to get rid of it is highly appreciated
I’d remove the repos and add them back.
Uwe
The error warning has gone.
I have been looking to the URL’s of the repositories
and I think that solved the problem Although I did not changed anything.
Thanks for your replies and back to bussiness
a glitch in the Matrix then
Thanks for the feedback.
