Yast GUI not working on tumbleweed

I tried to change owner and file permissions but I wasnt allowed to. Interesting since root is the god command and is supposed to be able to do anything on the system. I posted this here to try to get suggestions on what the issue is and how to fix. I never had this issue before the latest update of tumbleweed so I suspected that has something to do with this.

Are you saying that these commands will correct the issue?

The answer is no. As I mentioned in my previous post it only happens when using Hyprland that I get the error using yast2 but that command in my link can trigger the yast2 to run. It only happens when I am running wayland (Hyprland and wayfire)

On the side are you using wayland when running yast2 or you are on x11. It seems that the information here are not too clear from your posts. If you are running wayland and you get that yast2 problem and running the command from my link work, probably someone expert here can address what step you will need to do next.

Not quite sure exactly what happened but now for some reason its working. Maybe one of the developers saw this post and quietly fixed the issue???
