yast GUI keeps downloading something else

Hi All,

This is my day 2 with openSUSE. I love the GUI already and want to shift to it completly. the first problem im facing is whenever i use yast2 to search and download a package (e.g. mod_php6) it starts to download something of OpenOffice templates and never succeds and wastes a lot of time.

I think it is downloading some updates but I did not choose to install those updates which it is trying to download. How can i turn it off.

My second problem is that yast2 always starts a repository refresh always and i have to skip autofrefresh always. how can i switch off autorefresh method.

If packages have dependencies it will download other packages.

use repo manager and untick refresh on the repo in question, but generally not a good idea, you should only do this on oss, non-oss, leave the others to refresh.
