Yast cannot resolve Repository Hosts

Hello All

Long time user of Suse, but now using 11.1 is my first time with the 11.x series. I am having a lot of difficulty accessing online repositories through yast. Trying to add the one for my Nvidia. The URL is “http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.1/”, I add just as it is quoted and I get the following error:

Unable to create repository from URL ‘http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.1/’. |] Error trying to read from http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.1/
History:

I know this is not a netork problem, I can get the ip with nslookup and access the files through the ftp and can ping the url. Any clue what is going wrong?

Note I am getting similar errors adding any other online repository. Very frustrating, as this means Yast is usless for installing new software.

Try disabling IPv6
Disable IPv6 - openSUSE Forums
reboot
