Servers is suse 11.2 (64)

I use Xfce section

Any ideas?

It was really cool when it was working…

Thanks!
Miran

If I create new user XRDP working ok.

But if cliente of this new user first time closes with error

then XRDP say:
error X server died.

I try
/usr/sbin/rcxrdp stop

/usr/sbin/rcxrdp start

Reinstall all XRDP

Reboot server.

But error is still here
error X server died

Do you have any solution?

Hi,
The thread’s a little old I kow, but I’ve been suffering the same problem in SLES (error X server died) and have found a solution - it’s simple and I hope will help someone else.

Basically xrdp would work then it wouldn’t, with no apparent pattern. If I connected to the server via a ‘normal’ ssh session (no x11 forwarding) all is well. However, if I connect using “ssh -X -Y…” all subsequent attempts to xrdp would fail. Once I disconnected the x11 ssh session xrdp works.

Thanks, Steve.

I have tried waht Steve has proposed but it does not help, also i have read other forums and nothing has worked so far. I am still getting the same errors

If someone has a solution for this problem i would greatlly appreciated it

Did you use the RPMs created by malcolmlewis? They’re the only ones I can get to work in 11.3.

john@suse113:~> rpm -qa | egrep “xorg-x11-server-|rdp”
xrdp-0.4.1-85.1.x86_64
xorg-x11-server-rdp-7.3.99-12.7.x86_64
